California Lawyer Magazine
California Lawyer Magazine: "In a review of 1,464 State Bar cases between 2001 and 2005, the San Jose Mercury News found just one disciplinary action against a prosecutor. Since 2005 the State Bar Court has disciplined seven prosecutors; three of those cases involved Brady issues. The commission concluded that a lack of reporting 'means there simply is no 'track record' of an offending attorney's history anywhere.' And it observed that the biggest obstacle to compiling a track record for claims of misconduct or incompetence 'is the prevailing attitude of judges.'"
